::Allen and Heath Digital Consoles iLive and GLD::
There are no less than 7 models to choose from. The Surface is simply a controller for the MixRack, a big mouse as some would say. It also has an audio rack built into it to conveniently provide local inputs and outputs at the mix position. These are not processed in the Surface but sent to/from the MixRack via a digital snake.
iLive and GLD offer a user-friendly, cost effective and scalable live digital mixing system, conceptually based on the hugely successful digital iLive series. A standard GLD 32 input system offers 28 XLR mic inputs with plug n’ play I/O expanders allowing easy expansion up to 48 inputs (44 XLR mic inputs).
During this seminar we simulate an event environment with synchronised live multi-track recordings and DVD footage. Once the basic console functionality has been explained, you will be mixing live shows in the classroom!

Agenda
• Introduction to A&H Digital using and contrasting iLive-T112 and GLD-80 surfaces
• Console Layout
• Connectivity and iDR-32 / iDR-48 Mix Racks and the GLD-AR2412
• dSNAKE & ACE Cat5 Connect
• Routing the Console
• Using DCAs
• Onboard Dynamics
• Configuring the Mix Busses
• RackFX Engines Effects and GEQs
• Libraries, scenes and show memories
• Mutes and Safes
• Offline Editor
• Aviom Integration
Prerequisites
We do assume that delegates attending will be familiar with the basics of live sound mixing. The focus of this fast paced training will be to familiarise engineers with the A&H user interface and to investigate product features rather than to teach generic mixing techniques.
SFL do teach a non-console specific “Mixing Techniques for Live Sound Engineers” course that would offer significant general sound engineering background for this course although it is not mandatory to follow it.
