SFL make further investment in the HDX platform
with the addition of the HDX-W18

SFL are pleased to announce further investment in the Barco HDX platform with the addition of the brand new model, the HDX-W18. After a very successful 8 months of use from the W14's and the very positive client feedback on the quality of the image SFL decided this was a great investment opportunity.

Barco's HDX-W18 is the world's first events projector to combine active 3D and both wired and wireless control options in one unit. In addition, it offers quick control through smart-phones and tablet computers. Its sturdy, compact design allows the HDX-W18 to be ready for the road in no time, while its 17,500 lumens light output and three-chip DLP colour quality ensure crisp, vivid imagery on any screen.

Barco has refined and perfected 3D projection for three decades, and now brings this expertise to events. Successive hits in the events market with the SLM and FLM series have added considerably to the design of the HDX projector, while it also shares image processing and scaling technology with Barco's benchmark image processing hardware.

Barco designed the HDX-W18 with efficiency and quick setup in mind. It features just five building blocks that can be removed and replaced quickly, so that time spent servicing the projector is kept to a bare minimum. In addition, it can be easily boxed, shipped and fits into standard flight cases.

The HDX's built-in color LCD screen lets you preview your image. It realigns itself according the projector's position, and provides you with all the information you need on its current status, alerts and maintenance notifications - even through text messages. Barco's HDX has a native 3G HDSDI/SDI input, which makes it compatible with future image and video transmission standards.
