Christ Church Turnham Green

SFL install a bespoke display solution
turnham-1-small

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

SFL were approached by Christchurch Turnham Green to help them with their current video system. They already had a pull down screen attached to the rude screen and a desktop projector which was used for showing PowerPoint and movie clips. The church would set this up every Sunday. There was also the challenge of ambient light effecting the current screen, due to a big South Facing Window.

SFL worked through a number of installation possibilities taking into account the need for faculty approval. This included ideas for a front projection motorized screen. However a final design involving 60” and 26” plasma and LCD screens was approved. Consultation with the congregation and the DAC’s church building advisor confirmed the final positioning.

The final installation and Design Included 2 main 60” plasmas mounted each side of the arch, with 26” LCD screens filling in the side front areas. SFL also installed a 26” LCD screen on the front pillar for Stage comfort viewing for the band and preacher. The system included a Denon DVD player and a Kramer presentation switcher.  SFL also advised on the purchase of a new laptop including easy worship software.

Also included in the package was a training session run by SFL. This was a great evening with church staff and the volunteer team. It covered all the operation of the system, and a lesson in working with easy worship.
