Colour Conference

SFL help provide multiple tracking LED screens in the Royal Albert Hall

SFL were excited when they were approached by Hillsong’s production Manager to help them with the video solution for Colour Conference. Colour is a women’s conference run by Hillsong Church. The conference happens in various locations around the world. This event was held in the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.

Hillsong wanted to use their existing equipment to maximise the budgets available therefore SFL supplied technical design elements and additional equipment solutions. 

The centre piece to the stage was a 10m wide x 5m high front projection screen. This was projected onto using 2x Barco FLM R22+ projectors, signals were fed to the projectors using DVI fibre optics systems to ensure the highest possible quality on the screen. SFL also provided 2 hi-res LED screens which were 2.5m wide x 5m high. The LED screens were flown from Kinesys motors so that the screens could track horizontally and vertically around the stage. The screens would start the key sessions sat on the stage floor and would move up and outwards as the worship started.

The final video element consisted of G-Lec LED screens at the back of the stage. This provided a canvas to camera images and brought the video elements right onto the stage. Video content was mapped across all 4 screen elements.

Control was via 4 Barco Screen Pro II process and video playback came from Watchout, Pro Video Player and MA Video.
