Martin McColl's Gala Dinner 2009

SFL were asked by marketing company JMMS to provide a solution for the Martin McColl gala dinner sponsored by Ferrero Rocher

This year SFL were asked to provide a solution to enhance the evening and atmosphere for the Martin McColl gala dinner.  The event was to give the staff of Martin McColl an evening to celebrate the hard work of the past year.

The evening comprised of dinner, awards and entertainment.  A d&b system made from Q10 and Q sub boxes with Shermann VX200’s for the flown delay system, were  provided to reinforce the musical entertainment and ensure that the awards announcements were intelligible for the entire room.  SFL also proved four Sennheiser IEM systems and radio transmitters for each of the four piece string group who provided the main entertainment of the evening.

The awards were presented in keeping with the choice of venue in the style of a race night, with video accompaniment showing each of the nominees as riders in a horse race which created a lively atmosphere.  To ensure the video clips were enjoyed by all, SFL provided 2 Christie LX50 projectors for the screens in the set as well as a feed into the venue’s many installed plasmas and TFT monitors so all could see the action.

To enhance the atmosphere SFL provided a lighting solution with 12 Mac 250 Entours to light the room and create an exciting and variable atmosphere within the room.  In addition SFL provided 4 Mac 700’s and 6 LED battens to provide a textured look to the set.

 

The Event was sponsored by Ferrero Rocher and in addition to all the chocolate and table displays they provided, SFL were asked to supply two large hands based on the design of their latest advertisement to add depth to the stage set, as well as gobo’s to project images of Ferrero Rocher chocolates onto the 2 blank walls within the venue.
