Home Focus 2007

Holy Trinity Brompton came to SFL for Production Management of their Annual Conference, Home Focus hf1mini

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

2007 was a busy summer for SFL, Providing integrated systems for events all over the country. July saw SFL provide Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) with the complete production solution for their annual church week away Home Focus held at Pontins in Pakefield. Guest Speakers included, Mike Pilavachi, Richard Chartes (Bishop of London), Chris Russell and Richard Curtis.

As in 2006 SFL were contracted to provide Sound, Lighting, Video, and Power Distribution across the whole site. In addition to this SFL were also engaged to provide production management services, this included pre-production meetings, Health and Safety, provision of site infra-structure including, lighting, toilets, showers, marquees, communications and fire safety equipment.

One of the key criteria for 2007 was to increase the capacity of the campsites enabling more church members to attend. This was achieved by mapping out the whole Pontins site via CAD and then working with the HTB project team to relocate a number of venues, with these changes more people than ever were able to attend.

Across the site there were venues providing a wide range of activities including, Kids venues, HTB Café, Seminars, wide screen cinema venue and a 24/7 prayer venue. All of these venues required power along with varying degrees of technical equipment.

A new development this year in the ballroom was to provide a new video screen system. This filled the backdrop for the stage and included 3 video screens which could each be provided with individual sources, this enabled the HTB visuals team to provide the congregation with both camera images and presentations at the same time and during the worship they were able to provide song words on the outer screens with creative imagery on the centre screen. At the heart of this system was the Barco Screenpro II image processor, this was sent to the Christie LX55 projectors via Magenta Cat 5 distribution.

SFL MD Graham Preston was at the helm of the Yamaha PM5D. The speaker solution was based around d&b C7 with B2 subs. The lighting system was controlled by an Avolites Sapphire and included Martin Mac 250 Entour intelligent lights and LED powerbricks along with the usual array of profiles and fresnals. SFL are looking forward to working with HTB again in 2008.
