2-Ten FM on-air Charity Auction

SFL help 2-Ten FM raise money with a charity auction for local children

Each year the renowned and successful local radio station 2-Ten FM put enormous effort into raising money for local children's charities in an initiative called '2-Ten FM Kids'. The money that the radio station raises is given to non-profit organisations that provide children with education and also carry out work within the community to help children meet their full potential.

One of the main and most popular fund raising activities is the 'on-air auction'. Local companies donate goods or services to the radio station, these are then auctioned off to the public. All money that is paid for the goods goes to their children's charity. Again in 2006 SFL stepped up to the challenge and donated a full weekend hire of a home cinema system. This included a 42' plasma screen TV with speakers and a DVD/VHS player the perfect way to enjoy a great film.

In all 2-Ten FM have raised £25,000 this year from the auction and are still collecting.
