Venue - Hilton Metropole, Birmingham Date - 3rd July 2006 Client - 4D Productions Production Manager - Craig Lawrence
This year, events production company 4D Productions, chose SFL to provide the technical production solution for the launch of 2 new Kia cars. The order of the day was a dealer conference followed by the launch of the 2 new cars. SFL provided the sound, lighting and video for the conference and the launch along with extra lighting in another venue for the demonstration cars.
The video system comprised of a 10,000 lumen projector shining onto a 12' widescreen video screen. This was fed from an Analoge Way DiVentix which switched the images between DV playback, PowerPoint and live to screen cameras. The cameras were Sony DXC-D50P's with full EFP kits. The cameras were used for future editing use.

The sound system was designed using d&b Q7 speakers flown from the lighting truss along with d&b E3's for front fill and rear fill. These were complimented by Q Sub to add some bottom end to the video footage and audio stings.
The lighting consisted of a multitude of Source Four Profiles, Parnels and Fresnels. These were all used to highlight the different areas on the stage and to provide even light coverage for the cameras. |
