Rain stops play, The Aussies Play @ Teddington

July saw SFL working for Complete events, supplying sound and video facilities for a Charity cricket match.

The scene was set for an exciting day of sport at Teddington Cricket Club, situated in the heart of the stunning setting of Bushy Park, about a mile from the gates of Hampton Court Palace.

In all 6 teams would be playing on three cricket pitches. Each team was to be made up of people from the current Australian Cricket Team (currently in the UK for the 2005 Ashes series), The Royal Bank of Scotland and Deloittes were the generous sponsors for this event.

SF supplied four PA systems in total, one to each pitch including the bar marquee and the main club house. These were all linked so that all spectators could keep up with the action on all three pitches.

With so much action on the cards all that was left to chance was the great British weather!!!! Rained Stopped play, in fact it never even started!!

Complete events provided a large marquee complex which provided the ideal setting for the 900 guests to enjoy lunch and shelter from the elements.

An impromptu 'Meet the Team' was organised where the Australians were interviewed, along with the Charity Auction.

SFL provided a comprehensive sound solution ensuring that all the guests could hear the stage from all 4 corners of the marquee. This included Allen & Heath control, Sennheiser radio mics & d&b speakers.

A video relay was also installed with distributed plasma screens positioned around the marquee in full view of all the dinner guests. These Plasmas also allowed various sponsors to make PowerPoint.
