Well this has to be one of the strangest venues we have both ever worked in! We travelled to a 200 year old Cornish slate cavern which was previously used to store Rum for the British Navy. Joy Bassett from God inspired Ministries had the vision to turn this venue into a place of worship for an evening with Noel Richards and local Christian Surfer band, Narrowpath.
The first challenge was getting the truck up to the load-in through some of the tightest roads I have had the pleasure of driving on! Once the gear was in we were faced a huge cave with around a 500 seating capacity and a temperature that never strays from 10 degrees, summer or winter. We can report that slate caves have fantastic acoustics with good intelligibility! Main sound was provided by d&b C7 with Q7 rear fills.

A capacity Cornish crowd made for a very atmospheric evening with a mix of art, worship prayer and rock'n'roll. We are all looking forward to the next time!
Thanks to Joy and Paul (super crew) Bassett, Bev and the entire crowd that made us feel so welcome.
SFL have looked after sound for Noel Richards and band since 1992. The last 14 years have seen us work together on literally hundreds of events including Champion of The World at Wembley Arena and then Wembley Stadium. Noel is currently working towards the Calling All Nations event, June 25th at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin
