SFL show off their versatility at the Baptist Assembly annual conference

For the 2004 Baptist Assembly, SFL provided the full production solution. The four-day event was held in the Cardiff International Arena. The event had very diverse requirements, from a single presenter on the stage, up to a full 'rock' band.

The sound system was driven from a 48 channel Midas XL4, providing feeds to the main speaker system (d&b C7 & C6), plus audio feeds for recording, internet streaming and TV monitors around the venue. Monitors were mixed from side of stage on a 40 channel Soundcraft SM12, providing eight mixes on 14 d&b max boxes.

The lighting was designed to have maximum flexibility for different stage uses and incorporated the use of 100 generic fixtures and 20 intelligents (MAC 500's). The pictures show some of the various 'looks' that were achieved.

The video system consisted of two 10,000 lumen projectors for the Viewscape widescreen solution, utilizing a 30' x 13' main screen. Feeds to the projectors were controlled by MX70 vision mixers, which were controlling signals from four cameras, VT playback (DV & SVHS), three computer feeds and graphics. The video signal was also used for recording, internet streaming and TV monitors around the hotel.

Only five minutes from the M4 we are ideally situated for access to London and Bristol. The proximity of the M40 also provides easy access to Oxford, Birmingham and beyond.
